Who makes Grammage
Grammage is published by Solyzon, a partnership founded in 2026 by two partners, Armand OCTEAU and Sarah LÉVY, who are also its co-managers and who look after the tool, its website and its API themselves.
You can reach us directly by email at [email protected]. To find out more about the company and its other projects, everything is on solyzon.com.
Why Grammage exists
We build websites, and we needed a tool that measures the impact of a site before it even goes live, so that we could optimise it from the start rather than fix it afterwards. The solutions that existed only analysed a site once it was online, when it is already built and every fix costs a lot more.
We also lacked a way to show this score to the whole world without anyone being able to doubt it. The badges we found are very easy to alter, and nothing proves that they tell the truth. That is why the Grammage result is signed, which attests both how the site was built and its impact, and anyone can verify it on its public page.
A public method, measurements anyone can verify
Nothing is hidden behind the score. The method is public, with the measurement protocol, the carbon calculation, the sources we use and also what Grammage cannot do, so that anyone can read it and redo the calculation.
Measurements can be verified the same way. When a site displays the badge, it links to a page that gives the measured figures, the date of the measurement and its validity, and any result can be found by the domain of the site from the verification page. This result is a measurement attested by Grammage itself, and not a judgement by an independent body, which the verification page reminds you of.
Our commitments
A French solution
Grammage is developed and hosted in France, by a company headquartered in the Île-de-France region.
A frugal site
An eco-design tool must set the example, so this site follows what it recommends. Fonts are served from the site itself, images are optimised and only load when you get close to them, and no library is added for what the browser already knows how to do.
Grammage is measured by Grammage
This site is measured with the same tool and the same method as those of customers, and its measurement can be found on its verification page, like that of any other site.
Write to us
A question about the measurement, about the integration into your CI/CD or about what Grammage can do for your site, write to us from the contact page.
See what your site really weighs
Grammage brings together in a single tool the audit in a real browser, the code analysis in the CI/CD and a signed result that anyone can verify.
